Say Goodbye To The Blogger Blues
As bloggers, we're constantly multitasking and if we don't know when to take a moment to stop and relax, we'll quickly burn out. Burnout is a huge problem in today's day and age because we're too connected. We have the world at our fingertips and sometimes we don't know when to stop and simply disconnect.
I want to share a few tips that are easy to implement and barely interrupt your current schedule. Once you start taking the time to focus on yourself, everything else around you will become much easier. Kiss the burnout and blogger blues goodbye and start your next week off on the right food!
Plan your day accordingly.
Many bloggers have a full-time job on top of managing their blog, so it’s very important to have dedicated time for yourself along with everything else that you need to do. Even if it’s 5 minutes, it works! Create a schedule in your calendar or use a planner for when you're going to work on your blog and only your blog.
Schedule your content ahead of time.
By doing this, you’ll have an idea of how much time you can spend doing the things you love or simply laying on your couch. Tailwind has helped me so much with scheduling my Pinterest pins that I get to manually pin when I have the time. My blog post pins go out automatically and then get recycled, as needed.
Don’t stress out about creating content.
Pre-plan and brainstorm your blog posts. Do you post on the same day every week? If so, you know what goes into each post and how much it takes every week. Create a workflow that works for you and write whenever you feel inspired. Keep a journal, too! It helps to always have a means to write your ideas down when they come to you!
Diffuse essential oils when you’re working on your blog.
If you're new to essential oils, I think it's time for you to get acquainted and learn the emotional benefits of aromatherapy. Using essential oils helps you ground your energy and focus on what you're doing. And, there are so many diffuser recipes out there to choose from, but I personally love diffusing Wild Orange and Peppermint together. It definitely helps me focus!
Take breaks while you’re working.
Every 30 minutes or so get up and stretch. Don’t sit at that computer all day… You need to get your body moving. My Fitbit reminds me if I've been sitting for too long (maybe 50 minutes or so) and nudges me to get up. If you want to make it fun and increase your activity, do 10 squats or 15 jumping jacks every time you get up!
