My 20 Minute Morning Routine
When I say that I have perfected my morning beauty routine, I’m not kidding. I can get ready and be out the door in 20 minutes. And I’m definitely not a morning person, so structure for me is essential to getting to the train on time.
Here’s what my morning looks like:
My alarm goes off at 7:20 AM and promptly hit snooze until 7:40 AM.
I finally get out of bed, take my medication, and start getting ready. This takes 10 minutes. First, I make sure my hair looks professional whether that’s in a top bun, straightened from the night before, or just tousled to have that “beach look” (yes... even in the fall). Normally, I throw my hair in a ponytail so it stays out of my face and I won’t play with it. But simple and easy is what I’m going for.
Next, I start on my makeup. This takes 10 minutes, max.
Here’s what I use:
Step 1: Bare Minerals Concealer
Step 2: Bare Minerals Foundation
Step 3: Bare Minerals Eyeliner
Step 4: Maybelline The Nudes Eyeshadow Palette
Step 5: Cover Girl Plumpify Mascara
Step 6: NARS lip pencil in Rikugen
Step 7: Burberry Brit Women's Perfume - Eau de Toilette
These items give me an effortless, yet professional look and I only need to use a few products!
Once I’m satisfied with my makeup, I put on my everyday jewelry and finish getting ready. Also, I typically lay out all of my clothes the night before so this eliminates so much time and effort trying to find something to wear. Because, we all know how long that can take!
Depending on the weather, I find a shoes, sneakers, boots, or sandals to wear along with the proper outerwear (if necessary), then I grab my bag and I’m out the door. Quick, easy, and only 20 minutes of my day.
If I need a touch up or two once I get to work, I have a few extra items in my desk. This includes Cover Girl Matte Powder, Maybelline Blushed Nudes Palette, Suave Professionals Hair Spray, and Matrix Biolage Dry Shampoo!
